Street are all these things and more. On the eve of the super soap's fifth birthday, its fab
five woman reveal the things Woman's Day readers continually ask us to ask their favorite
stars.
Angela Dotchin and Maggie Harper have been with the show from the start, with Angela
Bloomfield, Alison James and Katrina Devine adding spice in later episodes. Here is a
selection of their answers to our posers...
How has Shortland Street changed your life?
AD: I have more friends, money and direction and
definitely less time and innocence.
AB: I have a mortgage. I know what I want from my life...
AJ: I'm more shy in public.
What would you take to a desert island?
AD: A stereo, a surfboard, bikinis, some lollies and a
nightclub!
AB: My cat Molly, my family
MH: Builder, gardener, fisherman, chef and girlfriend for
conversation.
KD: A beautiful man, chocolate, music, matches, a
four-poster bed
What are your best make-up tips?
AB: Brush your teeth, don't touch your zits, have lots of sleep
AD: Get a make-up artist.
Have you had any groovy fan mail?
MH: An effusive love letter from a guy in England. I was chuffed until I learned he'd written
to several other woman in the cast too!
Who are your favorite men?
AD: Dad, John Leigh, Tem Morrison, Lenny Kravitz
AB: Daddy, Karl Burnett, Peter Jackson, Neil Finn, Willy Shakespeare
MH: My two sons, Dad, the Dalai Lama and Sean Connery.
AJ: Nelson Mandela, Ralph Fiennes, Dad and my husband Michael.
