BM: How do you take care of your teeth?
KD: I brush my teeth after every meal and floss every day. I
swear by my electric toothbrush – it’s brilliant! I’m also really
good and go to my dental hygienist every six months for a spruce-up. I think it’s so
important to keep your teeth in great condition.

BM: Are there any dental experiences you would like to share with us?
KD: Yes, the most painful experience of my life! I had my wisdom teeth out last year and
boy did it hurt - if getting those out hurt that much, I’m not looking forward to childbirth!!! I
took a few days off work but I had to walk around for a good week with a moon face. I’m
pleased I had them taken out, but I’m more pleased that I don’t have to do it again.

BM: Have you ever had to wear braces or fake teeth for a show?
KD: No, not myself, but when we were filming Power Rangers, one of the cast members
had to have braces for a couple of episodes. I’m talking the whole nine yards – railway
tracks. She had to go to the dentist and have a mould of her teeth made and then they
made her a specially fitted plate that had braces connected so that it looked like she was
wearing the real thing. It looked great – they did such a good job!

BM: What are you doing career-wise at the moment?
KD: I finished filming Power Rangers earlier this year and I’m just about to jump on a plane
and head off to Toronto, Canada. I was there a couple of months ago, checking out the film
scene and I got a fantastic agent. I’m really looking forward to getting there and exploring
new options. I don’t know how long I’ll be there, but I’m really excited!

Celebrity and Actress Katrina Devine shares her experiences at the
dentist and how she maintains her dazzling smile.

Bite Magazine: Working in the film and television industry there is a lot
of attention drawn to your teeth and mouth. How important are they to
you?
Katrina Devine: Very important. They’re such a focal point when you’re
on TV. People’s mouths and eyes stand out to me the most when I look
at them. A nice smile always catches your eye.
